Manuscripts is a creative outlet for Pomfret School students and a way for us to admire each other’s dedication in various artistic endeavors. The students here are truly amazing when it comes to expressing their emotions through writing, drawing, sculpture, photography, and other means. With such talent, they deserve a chance to have their hard work displayed for others to read, see, and enjoy.

An important aspect of our magazine is the option students have to submit their work anonymously. We leave a shoebox on the English floor for those students that create incredible poetry, for example, but are too shy or nervous to sign their name at the bottom. Whether a student submits anonymously or not, it is a great feeling for them to see their hard work being appreciated by members of the community. That feeling students get is one of the main reasons that the Manuscripts team believes so strongly in its publication. We are currently in the process of putting together the Winter Edition, so be on the look-out for its release at the end of February.
